They're mostly the same amp with only one difference, the 15G is the more "basic" of the two and the 15R is the same thing but with a reverb effect built in. The 15R is the better one of the two amp's. A good used 15R is worth about $75 to $80. WebIt seems to be a 15 watt amp with reverb. I like reverb in little practice amps as it can be used to hide some unwanted room slapback echo. It would be good for a small apartment. The 38W that you listed is it's power consumption, not output power. It's crap. It's a budget beginner amp, given away in starter packages.
