Buzzing noise after turning car off

WebSep 1, 2009 · It sounded like an electric blower motor or something similar to an electric motor turning. I could not pinpoint where it was coming from. The noise lasted for about 4 - 5 minutes and stoped. The car had been sitting in my garage turned off for over 8 hours. This has happened before. Does anyone have any idea what this noise is? Thanks. WebDec 24, 2024 · I have this high ptiched sound coming from engine bay a couple hours after I shut the car off after maybe a 20 min drive. Coming from driver's side of the engine cover on the 2.0t engine. When I open the hood, it goes away after a minute. When I close the hood, it comes back.
